What makes a brand timeless?
There are many parts of a logo and brand that make it timeless and memorable. If you can tell what era your logo was designed in, your branding is most likely outdated.( Unless it was intentional of course 😉 Your logo and brand should be clean, powerful, and to the point.
Essentially what I mean is, does your logo hold water now, 2, 5, or even 10 years from now.
There are 4 elements which make a brand timeless, here they are summed up for you…
1) FONTS – selecting fonts that are clean and versatile are always best
2) STYLE – Keep the icon clean and simple. The more complex the design, the faster it will appear dated.
3) SHAPE – what will the overall shape be when combining the icon and fonts together, circular, oval, square, fluid etc
4) COLOUR – Don’t be afraid of colour. Standing out from the crowd, if done correctly, is always a good idea. But there are tricks in selecting tones that can withstand the hands of time.
